ARMIN, MARKUS, DUBFIRE, ETIENNE & MORE... WITH ONLY WEEKS TO GO, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!
Posted by Get In! on Nov 7, 2008 - 3:57:55 PM

On December 6th 2008, the spectacular, three-arena mega-event ‘ Essence’ will unite the worlds of trance, techno, house and electro at the Jaarbeurs Exhibition Centre in Utrecht, Holland.

A production packed 9-hour dance marathon, Essence boasts THE biggest artists anywhere in the world, including an emotional return to native soil for the official king of the DJs, Armin van Buuren.

In his first Dutch appearance since becoming No.1 in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the second year running, Armin will be looking to pull out all the stops in front of a 30,000 strong crowd. Not only that, Armin will also be joined by French legend Etienne De Crecy – performing his ONLY set in the Netherlands for the whole of 2008.

De Crecy will be armed with an array of the most technologically advanced equipment including drum machines, synthesizers, effects boxes… the list goes on but whatever he touches on stage is sure to set the crowd alight. De Crecy will perform on the ‘Everybody Stage’, one of three massive arenas: ‘You’, ‘Me’ and ‘Everybody’.

The ‘You’ stage sees an explosion of trance talent from Armin through to fellow Armada regular Markus Schulz, himself joining the greats in the DJ Mag Top 100 Top 10 bracket this year  by entering the upper echelons and hitting the #8 spot! Dutch super-producers Rank 1 have a live set up their sleeves while remix artist of the moment Richard Durand and ATB have also been drafted in to cap things off.

The legendary Dubfire (one half of Grammy Award winning duo Deep Dish) brings forth a full-on techno onslaught to headline the ‘Me’ stage. Support his arsenal of filthy dirty beats will be UK rising star Ben Sims, Monika Kruse, Joris Voorn (responsible for the monster remix of Robert Babicz’s “Dark flower”) and Felix Krocher. Truly a killer line-up!

Finally the ‘Everybody’ arena welcomes not only De Crecy but also UK house heavyweight Chris Lake; Roog and Erick E as the startlingly brilliant Housequake, Spanish house don Wally Lopez, Kurd Maverick and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.

With each arena packed full of state-of-the-art lights and mind-blowing special effects we can safely say you will walk away from Essence feeling more than a little shell-shocked.
