On December 6th 2008, the spectacular, three-arena mega-event ‘Essence’ will unite the worlds of trance, techno, house and electro at the Jaarbeurs Exhibition Centre in Utrecht, Holland.
A production packed 9-hour dance marathon, Essence boasts THE biggest artists anywhere in the world, including an emotional return to native soil for the official king of the DJs, Armin van Buuren.
In his first Dutch appearance since becoming No.1 in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the second year running, Armin will be looking to pull out all the stops in front of a 30,000 strong crowd. Not only that, Armin will also be joined by French legend Etienne De Crecy – performing his ONLY set in the Netherlands for the whole of 2008.

Over 400 DJs from up and down the UK and across Europe entered the 2008 D-Joust competition – with only 40 spaces in the regional quarter finals up for grabs the judges had their work cut out deciding who should go through to the live events in London, Birmingham and Antwerp.
